I just do every G1 race during that time and get it out of the way. It effects training but not races. The two races that you're suppose to do but bail out get a special cutscene if you win those two particular race and you get no energy drain.

Like her real life counterpart, she get boneitis during the classic year and people started talking shit that you're a bad trainer. This get cured later on.
