Problem is GPU RAM is like 14GHz buss speed now so we are far into the microwave range now. No human (let alone idiot) compatible socket exists for those speeds.

300KM/sec / 14000000000 is about 21mm separating the data bits in a wire....

The real problem with GPU ram is timing the data lines....
