Not a single unit from Walpipi is bad so far, even the first ones, I doubt they'd start fucking up now, especially with a sinner using one of the more iconic gears from a well known abno.
And yes, Hook Lu still fares pretty well for a 00, bleed is stacked with good units, but he can work fine in it still.
