This has to be without a doubt the worst MD update I've seen. Ten EGO gifts? Two with only 1% drop rate? What the fuck were they thinking??!!
For reference, TKT and WARP, two fucking intervallos from season 4 released their packs with 12 EGO gifts. From season fucking 4!
And let's talk about those gifts for a second. 8 of them don't release until next week, and 2 of them might as well not exist!
The money gift requires a 1% success rate on a fucking event that 9 times out 11 won't even spawn. I'm on my 8th run and I haven't seen it once.
And the other one requires you to empty your starlights, a currency that's already pretty fucking scares, to fail a 99% success rate. Guess what retards? If you're wasting all that startlight and EGO gifts for a gift that guarantees fusion, then you don't need the gift to begin with!

I don't think investing into EGOs just because they clash well is a good strategy for newbabs, it's better for them to look for a team they want to play and then invest into the EGOs for that.

For general use EGOs, the best value for money is always going to be SP and HP healing E.G.Os for the sinners the newbab uses, and nothing else matters.

I got the true ending in Lobotomy Corporation, but kinda bounced off of Library of Ruina. My understanding is this game is closer to the latter. How different is it? I thought the combat was cool moment-to-moment, but keeping track of the influx of cards and pages and constantly changing decks and such wasn't very enjoyable. Does this have a lot of elements like that? I am trying to figure out if/how I want to proceed with the whole Project Moon thing.

It used to work when you had a small and niche group of people passionate towards a series, but as the game grew in popularity, the temper of the original player base grew thinner, looking at the game from a more objective point of view than a biased one.
These issues we are finding out about have plagued the game for years, yet many didn't complain because it was those who were willing to gamble things would get better that stuck around. Now, from a development stand point, KjH is tired of doing this, he underestimated the toll of making a live service game and is suffering the consequences, and considering he's the primary lead that takes all decisions, he has effectively created a creative dictatorship that justifies itself as quality control, but what happens, is that usually the person gets lazy over the years and comfortable with success, and gives more attention to himself than to the product.
