The Germans have been completely pushed out of France by November.
They lost more ground in the last few couple of months of 1918 than they did in the entire war.
The allies were days away from entering Germany and begin to take their revenge. And you blame the German politicians for doing the right thing and protect the German people and cities from being ravaged, by exiting the war before this happens.
All because the military men who had coup'ed the government earlier decided to abandon their posts and leave the responsibility to the politicians.
Do you think Finland sued for peace in 1944 when their lines were broken because of jews stabbing them in the back?
Or do you think it was because they knew that if they continued the war, the Soviets would begin to ravage the Finnish country and the military was unable to protect its population?
Suing for peace when you are militarily defeated is normal.
Continue fighting even though defeat is inevitable, and consequently knowingly throwing your civilian population into the meatgrinder to the last building, isnt normal.
