the issue i have with wallcraft is that the design documents and his posts reek of feature creep. i mean if -every- single fucking idea he has ever posted and written down gets implemented with no issue it'll be the most technically impressive and insane fucking server ever made
but that also assumes that everything from guild based territory control to getting kidnapped by enemy factions and imprisoned gets coded
and that more than 15 people are willing to play what is functionally just an open world survivalslop game in a 20 year old vanilla engine. it literally boils down to a server consisting of one dude ideaguying a billion ideas and being able to implement them without feeling bloated and shitty with a large enough population to have these big epic turf wars
