I felt sadness and disgust looking at the language learning threads on /jp/. All this effort just to paypig and simp for braindead vwhores and gacha trash. Day in, day out, idling away listening to whores drone on and on and on while playing shitty video games. Actually, the whole of that board gives me 違和感.
I don't necessarily have anything against Touhou, but I felt a little let down when I realized "Otaku culture" was a bit of a misnomer for that board, its threads are nowhere near as varied as the name suggests.
/lit/ is only slightly better in that regard but again, lots of the Japanese-learners there only bother to read litrpg schlock.
