>Water is the element of change. The people of the Water Tribe are capable of adapting to many things. They have a deep sense of community and love that holds them together through anything.

>Water Tribes
Inspiration: Inuit
Sub-culture: The Foggy Swamp Tribe of the Earth Kingdom's Foggy Swamp, instead based on a combination of Vietnamese and American bayou people.
Notable aspect: The Water Tribes are a disjointed nation, split mostly between the Northern Water Tribe and Southern Water Tribe at the planet's poles. Sexism is present, but diminishing, among some of its people.

>Waterbending
Martial art: Tai Chi
First bender: The moon
Power modifiers: Waterbending is disabled during a lunar eclipse, and is amplified during a full moon (but nowhere near firebending's comet-fuelled power increase).
Notable aspect: Standard waterbending has the most versatile control out of the four elements, with waterbenders able to control and transform water into its gas, liquid, and ice forms.
Waterbending subtypes:
- Some waterbenders can use water to heal wounds. Normal water can completely heal minor injuries and quicken healing progress of larger injuries. Highly spiritual water can be used on major injuries and even bring someone back from the dead if used quickly enough.
- Plantbending has the user bend the water inside plants. This has only been used by the Foggy Swamp Tribe.
- Bloodbending has the user bend the water inside animals and humans, controlling them against their will. Bloodbending requires the power boost of a full moon.
