Since I did summaries before I may as well do one for this. Behold the story of Theros Beyond Death finally actually given to us (in comic form). I will not show you every page because fuck that.

How do I fucking land pre-orders from big retailers? Every LGS is selling at scalper prices and refusing to do pre-orders so it's pointless to even go now. These niggas want 45$ for drafts now with no participation pack. Every store owner is a greedy faggot and they're being supported in this endeavor by WotC.

Is there some way to know when Best Buy, Target, Walmart, Amazon, etc are doing pre-orders? My wife and I are huge Avatar fans and would really like to preorder that set. I'm about five seconds from loading up StellarAIO again since I had to for GPU's during the 30 series GPU's but I really don't want to.

The bloodbenders in Korra are noted as being freaks who can bloodbend at any time and even do "psychic" bloodbending, i.e. bending without making physical bending motions. You know, that whole plot point sounds really fucking dumb as I type it out. Then again Korra's also the series where they counter metalbenders by building walls and tanks and eventually a giant robot out of solid platinum because it's too pure for them to bend.

Hi. I play Commons-Tribal (+Pauper+legacy restricted/banned cards) with total cost per deck running on the lower end and I balance all my decks to face each other, more or less. Pickup games with other MTG old timers.

My current build is starting a Cleric lifegain deck, mostly 1droppers and the critters mostly figured out. My issue is whether I should go more towards mill, 'fog' anti combat, pecking with repeating turn damage or otherwise.

I tend to stray very far from common MTG players, so I don't know the lingo.

Links towards current pauper/penny(?) lifegain decks I could look at would be nice. All I can find are commander for 40 pages straight on google, I fucking looked through 40 pages.

Lifegain's usual wincon is typically with repeated Extortion from the likes of Syndic of Tithes and Basilica Guards, or building a base of weenies and just swinging out with spells like Rush of Battle or Guardians' Pledge.

Burn is very fast and simple whereas lifegain is slow and often takes time to really take off. Especially in a format like Pauper where you can run bolts and so on. On top of that

Burn is not the only thing to worry about in pauper. Even if it were, it's still much more efficient than lifegain. There's a reason why white was always the weakest in the boon cycle and it's boob cycle card never saw play. Lifegain is weak unless you have some kind combo that gets you infinite lifegain and use that to stop your opponent from winning entirely and then using some other combo to win or running a card that turns lifegain into damage to your opponents. Unless you're doing either of those, it doesn't make any sense to play it.

The best thing to do with building any deck isn't to pick a random mechanic and build around it, but to ask yourself how you're going to win and whether or not the mechanic contributes to it. Why are madness/threshold decks ever a thing? Because they help contribute to a win in the formats they exist in. Madness = flash for some creatures and reduces their cost so you can spam the board to win with creatures and threshold often makes creatures big and syncs well with other thinks that can reduce cost like madness or flashback so it helps you win faster.

Looks like it's just going to be forced to sac early or removed before you can use it thanks to gut shot or other common sideboard cards like that. And then bring in the mystics to spam bird tokens and low cost big creatures so even if you get a little bit of lifegain, it's just a matter of a few more turns of grinding.

The decks I make face one another. I have 9 decks, and to be fair I've only gotten back into this last month. These 9 decks been sitting for about 4 years. Pick up and play with wife, her friends(discord+webcam at desk) among some random people from work.

The goblin deck is the one that won the most, speed-beater. The earliest I allow a deck to win is turn 4, including infinite combos.

Two sets per block was ideal, I think. One for establishing the setting, and one for the central conflict and its resolution. As much as I liked the post-Otaria era it was pretty clear that they would often be running out of ideas when the third set for a block rolled out.
And single set "blocks" just mean that the plot is rushed forward without any consideration, while any reflection on how things went will happen maybe five sets in the future, long after it stopped being relevant.

The quality of the material is really the biggest difference, but the Katana are also slightly smaller in size than the Dragon Shield, in which when it comes to MTG, they're really the perfect size. They're also nicer to the touch and will definitely last longer than any Dragon Shield.
They go over 2 months easy with heavy use without bending the tips on the side or starting to fold on the top where as Dragon Shield tend to loosen up pretty quick after heavy constant use.
The Katana are expensive, yes, but basically you're paying for better, lasting quality.

The key to understanding seth is knowing that he was a homeschool kid. I still don't understand why they still shit that many legendaries since most of them aren't even story relevant or even have a single line of background. Most of them aren't even mechanically unique. Do we really need another UG legendary creature that draw cards and put land into play? not necessarily, the important thing to understand is that this set was supposed to be another assassin's creed, but ACR flopped so fucking hard they tried to make every last minute change in order to improve SPM, the most impactful being adding more random cards no one cares about so it could work in Limited

SPM flopping would just further justify shifting away from the ACR format (Beyond Boosters, I think they were called, I don't recall), in order to see less UB we needed FIN to flop hard, because that was a set made for Constructed and Limited from the very beginning, like most sets

This set was probably just meant as a sort of "appetizer" for the main marvel set. It makes sense since spider man is so big even within marvel that if they included it in the main set it would either take up too much space or would have to omit too many characters, so I think it makes sense to do SPM as a mini set but they clearly changed up the format because of ACR flopping.

Most of the Bloomburrow flavored cards are good but this one looks stupid. Heroic masked animal using some sort of strings to propel himself around in order to save children, I guess. Does every plane have masked secret identity heroes? Why Bloomburrow of all places? That place is relatively peaceful within its communities. It just looks out of place.
