Your comparison with TF2 is complete shit the moment you use two neurons and realize you can still just do Sniper, or Medic, or Spy without engaging with blast jumps, unlike in Melee where dealing with the retarded jank is a must if you are to fight online autismos. Don't even get me started on the controler modifications. Even if there is something worthwhile in the end, why bother? There is tons of fighting games with great movement that wont ask me to deal with unintended crap and upfront monetary costs just to be able to compete, it just feels great from the get go.
