According to leaked data, Monster Hunter Wilds will have a collaboration in Title Update 3 or 4.
Lagiacrus and Seregios were well-known as far back as the beta, and now we are expecting Gogmazios, but there is additional data that clues us in to the nature of the crossover:
>An endemic life that can be tracked on the map and has an interactable function (the only other crossover one was the Cactuar in World)
>A small monster (either wild Chocobo or Bombs)
>An Elder Dragon category monster with some kind of "HEAT_GROUND" effect as well as a unique grab animation
>Yoshi P suggested they "do Bahamut next time"
>Seikret is a perfect opportunity for a Chocobo skin
As such, I posit that Wilds' crossover monster will be Bahamut (Arisen) from FFVII Rebirth. XIV is old hat, in a bad state right now and has nothing to offer Monster Hunter; XVI is pretty much played out, but VIIR was released recently, has another game on the way, and a lot of potential content to use in Wilds.

Watching its gameplay, Bahamut Arisen clearly has lasers that set the ground on fire, a unique grab animation and even has part breaks IN Rebirth.
Also, Alma gets an Aerith outfit and Gemma gets a Tifa outfit. Palico gear is Cait Sith.
