I am trying to setup gaming on Linux and I don't like it a bit. It brings all the bad Windows parts.
Next time someone asks me for help I am purchasing them a Win11 license.
>Steam requires sudo to launch, simply because it downloads its own dependencies through an additional program, rather than as a dependency in package, managed to figure out what I need by logs
>additionally it needs i386 versions
>Lutris automatically adds EVERYTHING and ALL the possible capabilities it can into wine prefix, so far I cannot figure out how to stop that
>All the extra gaming software is basically 90's level of rubbish that exists as part of the OS
>apparently anti-cheat that scan my golang projects and tries to recursively scan git folders was ported
Gaming is rubbish.
Gamers are not people and we need to gatekeep Linux from them and their gaylord DRM leader Gaben.
