Some player destruction maps have bonus points for just picking up the McGuffin, so if you voluntarily cycle dropping it and picking it back up, you'll farm it. I think Pit of Death lets you do that 30 times.
Spies do have to put in more legwork, but backstabbing almost always immediately gives you the crumpkin they drop since you're standing right there at the dead body.
