I appreciate the clarification. I’m used to using the billet as a fill-in for rectangular cross section stock and didn’t realize I was implying casting and can see how it I’m being contradictory on its face by saying forged billet. That’s a pretty big communication fuckup on my end.
What I’m seething at it that they’re selling us the middle object but leaving enough plausible deniability that it could be the right object and that’s what most people would assume. Maybe it’s not malicious and they’re just trying to get away from casting since they used to use cast trunnions. Either way it’s lame because the PSA GF3 has a hammer forged bolt and trunnion.
