I typed out 2000 words of my idea but i accidentally selected and erased it all so I'll summarize
>Combo Man sneaks back into the timeline, but before he can fully make his way back into canon, his secret identity, Rick Wilder, who hadn't fallen out of the canon, dies.
>Combo Man wants to have a secret identity again, because without one he shouldn't even exist and he doesn't know what he is.
>He wants Gwen to be his secret identity, because she has a comic, and she met Rick Wilder shortly before he got hit by a bus or whatever.
>Story starts out with a Monster of the Week format, Combo Man using his expanded power-set (Not fully existing affected his powers by making them less defined and thus extending his range of abilities) to create new Combo-Villains who try to capture Gwenpoole for him.
>Gwenpoole has to deal with these guys interrupting her Mercenary job, and eventually she gets fed up and decides to find out where they're coming from.
>We get an issue of Gwen investigating and then tracking Combo Man to Wakoasgatveria, an island Combo Man created by combining abunch of other locations (His combos don't affect the original thing that got combined, they're new entities, to clarify)
>Gwen lands on the island, fights some Hydrakandans and AIMutants
>She makes it to Combo Man, and he reveals his plan to erase Gwenpoole's current Super-Identity from her mind so he can combine himself with her and become her new Super-Identity
>She fights him, talking about how she wants to be her own character. The two fight to a standstill, then Gwen has an idea. She calls for Jeff.
>Jeff forces Combo Man to combine with him, giving Combo Man what he wants and also giving Jeff a new Super-Identity he can transform into: Combo Jeff
