the World War I and Beatles stuff i kind of understand. i mean we've been colourising and touching up old photos/film since forever. which pretty much involves SOME invention.

but just upscaling a film? nah. scan the original film! i guess tidy up obvious blemishes and fix colours, but everyone likes noise/grain now. EVERYONE AGREES.
