You don't have to sperg out anon, I don't gave anything against stormcast I'm genuinely interested. Stormhosts as little subfactions a la chapters just didn't catch on, and it's not like gw didn't try to in 1st edition. I'm just curious why that is.

I think this is mostly it, marines are more of a blank slate aesthetically too. I think the reforging makes it hard for different stormhosts to have a dedicated home and culture too, you kinds get the idea that they're all in azyr waiting to be beamed down when they're not fighting. I guess a way to make them more interesting is delving into their religion a bit more. With how some stormcast have secondary patron deities (morrda being the big one) besides sigmar, could be a good entry point for some more variety in em.
