Fair, but I view it as a mistake since any issue Mike had with Lucy will always be lumped in with Lucy attempting suicide, smothering the issue. Years of build-up and issues can be brushed aside at any time, despite the reasons why it got that bad in the first place.
It's hard for me to even talk about Lucy's issues with her other friend,s cause Sue and paulo have demonstrated they were her friends priror to December in many different ways, and Paulo made it clear he cared about Lucy for more than just her tits. I wish Lucy was canonically mentally ill.
Plus, in any other comic, it would be a Gullitoine over Mike's head. Removing the suicide and almost nothing changes. Hell, you could have just had Lucy stop eating, and it would have had a similar effect, but it would just be the continuing downward she had been on prior.
