This ain't the 80s. You have youtube reviewers, you have customer reviews, hell, every normal company showcases how their games works and most devs even have some kind of instant response apps or discord servers where they can answer your questions fast and precise. If a dev does all of this and the interested customer ain't buying then either it's A) expensive or B) the field is dead.

Then you are obviously not the target audience and that is fine. I wouldn't play that game too but there is obviously a market for that (the team who is behind that game being into that kind of stuff and buy and explore those kind of games) and they did research it.
