Many people think that the lists published in Town Cryer Magazine are not canon.

The argument is as follows:
the magazine is not a magazine where Games Workshop writes things, they just approve and publish things created by fans, and therefore none of it is canon.

Make of that reasoning what you will. I think the logic doesn't hold up, it has the Citadel stamp of approval.
