>But reading text-books is very different than indulging on the fantasy of a fiction novel; and often less engaging. I can see some people go for history, though, desu; it being stories.
Yes, I don't know why you went to textbooks. I think most people who read do not read textbooks.
>"One robot at a time, maybe we can make a change in the long run" is phrased in a very hopeful way in my eyes. But maybe it was just an attempt at engaging writing.
Yes, "maybe" was there. It is a possibility. I am just one of these robots. If others want to try something they are free to do so. Being generally pessimistic doesn't mean one should not try. I work towards my goal with the intent of it working out but with the expectation that it's going to fail. And if it fails I try again until I end up pleasantly surprised by the result. I don't know if I'll try again in this case.
>I get it. But you have hope that it'll work, otherwise you wouldn't have come up with a plan.
I hope that it works, but I expect it not to.
For example: You're asking a girl out for idk, the fireworks. You say let's go there and let's leave long before so we don't miss it. You go there in hopes you'll see the fireworks, but with the expectation that you're gonna miss them so you don't stress out over it and don't cry about the result.
>You must care a little bit, or else you wouldn't have posted this thread to begin with.
I do care in the sense that it would be nice if things worked out. I don't care in the sense that it would not affect my mood whatsoever if it didn't.
>I hope you'll gain a small dedicated fallowing and have fun reading books and improving the lives and minds of your fellow anons, making a community or whatever*.
Thank you very much!
>But you'll never untard them... (comment too long so need to shorten)
Possibly but I think books are a much better first step to unretardation than anime or vidyas who lead to nothing
It's getting late I need to go to sleep. Good night
