Imagine if in chapter 5, Sans does a lot with Ralsei to talk about Papyrus for some reason, and how Papyrus even fights. People would expect this to be the set up of Ralsei fighting Sans by being rage baited, a repeat of chapter 4, but instead, Papyrus shows up later as a serious and tragic boss.
