Pends aren't even complex, making them complex or gimmicky tend to screw over it more than help.

There is a reason that best pend effects either summon itself/something from GY or search on scale. Cards like purple poison sounds crazy good but most of time are completely irrelevant, and keep in mind that assload of pends don't even have OPT.
