That's not at all how that works. That only happens in cases where its either unclear what the intent was or you wrote a different card's similar name.
For example, writing "Shaddoll Construct" when you mean "El Shaddoll Construct" is problematic because Shaddoll Construct IS a card and DOES exist in the same Deck. It may not be your intent but you wrote a card that could be in your decklist instead of the actual card.
"Star Ham" doesn't exist, and the only card that is close to Star Ham in name is "THE Star Ham" so you would be good and only the most anal judges would get their panties in a twist over that, in which case you report them to the tournament organizers and/or Konami

Isolde did ab-so-fucking-lutely nothing wrong besides meme FTKs that required 5+ hard garnets. Her only sin was decks that used her were cheap in an expensive meta.

Meanwhile gimmick puppet just FTK you off the field, are half immune to hand traps and the funniest part is that its entirely intended by design.

The actual gameplay of either deck doesn't really matter when the thematic concept locks them out of most of the game.
Being an all-Tuner deck inherently requires Killer Tune to either run a supplemental engine of non-Tuners (unlikely because the deck locks to Tuners and the Synchro Summon effects summon Synchro Tuners and the Synchros require Tuners-only) or you accept the fact the deck's concept basically locks you into this All-Tuner concept.
This leads to the decks becoming "99% identical". The actual gameplay of a midrange Synchro deck doesn't matter because it is superceded by the sheer concept of being an All-Tuner deck. If Killer Tune wasn't an all-Tuner deck with locks related to Tuners and only focused on making Synchro Tuners, then the decks could be more creative in their plays and builds.
It IS the price of being an all-Tuner deck, which is the core concept of the deck.

I miss the TCG exclusives a few years ago that actually felt like they were trying to do something with the current game or generally impact actual decks.
Shit like Spellbound, Gravekeeper's Inscription, Made to Order Mermaid Outfit Outfitter etc. all feel like actual cards designed to have a point and be somewhat useful tools for better or for worse.
Most TCG exclusives now are just cards that got in maybe 1 or 2 decks at most, flop entirely because they aren't actual archetypal cards and rot away and we've been having these fed to us for YEARS now.

I played quite a few pend decks myself on MD specifically as it's easy to just pick them up there.
Played pend magicians, supreme king when it came out, majespecter in TCG, endymion and stuff that uses some pends, but isn't pendulum like melodius etc.
Also the original qliphort when they released (though only on ygopro at the time).
Everything they do is just needless complexity. There is no justification to have them.

Most ED Pendulums are just animeshit and directly linked to Yuya or Reiji.
Although I think the ultimate issue is that Konami overbalances Pendulums too hard. A casual glance at the average ED Pendulum shows some of the shittiest ED monsters ever designed because Konami are terrified of the idea of the card coming back a turn or two later and doing stuff (which is funny because most ED Pendulums tend to be Level 8 or higher which exempts them from usual Scales)

The fact that the Chronicles animation makes ZERO reference to ANYTHING generated for the manga is a pretty clear sign the Manga isn't considered canon.
Even something as basic as naming the enemy faction the Spectra Union would've been enough, but instead they just refer to them as "an expansionist empire".
