Maybe while we have some guests in the thread, this is a good time to retry hashing out what sets "slavery" and "patriarchy" apart. I know I have my ideas/preferences but it still seems like something to discuss, especially after the splinter happened for one reason and this thread has changed several times over since then.
(Just gonna pose some starter questions and say my piece; everyone can chime in and go from there.)
IS IT A MENTAL VS. PHYSICAL THING? Slavery threads seem a lot more about the physical bondage and treatment of subjects as chattel, with how they like or dislike being slaves varying but tending to be negative. Patriarchy is more about controlling its subjects through multiple means into liking/accepting their status with education and religion (and maybe some tech or drugs or genetic engineering) to keep subjects in line. Physical restraint and capital punishment in patriarchy is generally seen as a last resort outside of some light almost-vanilla play stuff.
IS IT MALEDOM/FEMSUB EXCLUSIVE? Does the practice of treating people as commodities extend to men in slavery threads, and the content just focuses mostly on women? Because the gender dynamic is definitely a big part of patriarchy content, whether it's chauvinist or full-on misogynist. (Matriarchy stuff does pop up here now and again.)
ARE THE SUBJECTS SEEN AS PEOPLE? Sure it varies but I know I've seen slavery settings where people being bought and sold are still generally accepted as being human beings with souls and inner selves. Patriarchy cultivates women to explicitly be something lesser; dumb, docile, personal desires and thoughts and emotions blunted and/or suppressed. Patriarchal women range in value from precocious child down pets to barely sentient objects.
DOES ANYONE SAY IT'S WRONG? Again, I'm sure it varies if slavery is something evil done by criminals versus just a value-neutral feature of the societies. Many patriarchies revolve around the practice as morally imperative.
