I don't think it's irrelevant at all. I just think it was a part of something greater. A series of truths that all are factual, but never the complete story. Kind of like how Disney used to make their animation cells. Nobody knew the complete picture, like the great work AKA Magnum opus. Or beehive whatever. Having a fair amount of experience with the occult practices, those things are very real and aren't going away. These beings and the men that serve them are intelligent, but not omniscient. They make mistakes and have to change according to the current Zeitgeist. They can manipulate the world in the same way you manipulate any machine, but they are not magical gods.
