Super Mario Galaxy doesn't push the Wii's hardware to it's limit, though. It's running on the Sunshine engine and reuses many assets from Jungle Beat to boot. Realistically it's literally just a GameCube game but given Wii controls(Which isn't too surprising, given many Wii titles were originally developed for the GameCube but had to be ported to the Wii at the last second as shown with Super Paper Mario and Twilight Princess).
Also fun is dependent. People that want to play a JRPG wouldn't really want to play a 3D platformer. That's like saying "Why are you playing Sonic Adventure 2 when Sonic Unleashed exists and it's way more fun to play".
