Disgaea Hour of Darkness. Honestly you could stop there, I still think it's got the best story and characters. But if you like the mechanics and you enjoy the setting, you could play 2, 5, 4, spinoffs, etc. I don't think they need to be played in any particular order, they're all pretty self contained
