I do like their take on elves and I wish sylvies were more like this instead of all of them being half-tree. Don't get me wrong, tree exoskeletons are very cool, but they're insanely impractical to use outside of battle, and, as far as I can judge, they can't actually take them off. The worldbuilding kind of goes down the toilet when your dudes obviously can't function in peacetime.
