I honestly suck shit at japanese and have been walled for a long time and I feel like this is also part of the reason, however I cant agree with that last part. although I suck shit at Japanese I can think in what little I do know very quickly and spontaneously, without using an English filter or getting caught up in translation or other types of mental emulation.
What does DJT think? Is anki still good? it feels like the only way I can learn, and admittedly I dont even pay too much attention to the english if I can. I have to remind myself sometimes to remember the english word too but one of the reasons I am posting this question is I wondered if that's a mistake and I should just try to remember the phonetic spelling of the core cards and not even think about definitions.
