So? Christianity is a way of life. If someone isn't engaged in the life of the Church, the sacraments, ascetical labors, the spiritual life, etc. they aren't embracing that way of life. Everyone is at their own level of course, but obviously it's like anything else, if you barely do it, or mostly just talk about it or pose as it, it won't do anything for you.

The Fathers are pretty explicit on this.

I found this to be excellent, albeit a bit repetitive, but that's because it is showing how these ideas can be found throughout the Patristic tradition. Athonite Audio on YouTube and Spotify has it read, although not by a professional reader.
