I remember before MoP was announced everyone wanted Pandaren in WoW, like they were just behind high elves, naga, and ogres. Cool chinese kung-fu WC3 race. Then MoP was revealed and everyone did a complete 180 and suddenly pandas were lame and gay. I didn't understand then and I don't understand now where the hate came from all of a sudden like that. After the unprecedented shitshow that was Cata I thought MoP looked like a return to form. I quit before it release though.
