I don't get why pizza gets such a bad rep, apart from the PizzaHut söybean oil HFCS abominations.
Italian pizza is just bread, tomatoes and cheese, with meat and vegetables to taste. Cheese has plenty of protein, as well as essential fatty acids (pentadecanoic acid).
Bread is basically empty calories, so okay, but it's not any worse than any other dish that's based on bread, rice, noodles or potatoes.
