Motobe v Jack is one of the peaks of the series for me.
I love how Memtobe keeps glazing him throughout his no-diffing.
He really loves the fighters of the Bakiverse. It sells the idea that his protection isnt born of ego, but love...
One panel that always stuck out to me was this. It's incredibly poetic in spite of not saying much beyond a literal description of the scene.
>Even on his knees... He's still huge.
It's Motobe acknowledging that fighters like Jack, even in defeat are a sight to behold. It tells us a lot about his own personal philosophy. In his "acceptance" of defeat, he's an outsider to the cast. It showcases his warrior mindset. He's the ultimate doubtGOD. For him, every fight is uncertain and potentially lethal, and even Ogre isn't exempt from the chaos of the battlefield. That's why he approaches every battle with a killing intent, and that'a why he was able to win against Mushashi.
Not to glaze too.hard, but truly, no other fighting manga could approach these ideas in that way.
Cant wait for animeonlies to be graced with GODTOBE.
