Flavor? Somewhere between bland and awful.
Foundation? Impossible to build upon, because it's not a coherent mass, just a collection of thousands of little bits thrown together by people who only know how to make something worse, not better.
Texture? Endlessly irritating, in just about every aspect. It slows you down with everything you try to do, it gets in your way with every step, and everything is rough and unpolished.

I don't like the Last Jedi, but I was always very disturbed that people only began to dislike Force Awakens after seeing Last Jedi. As bad as The Last Jedi is, at least it tried something.

The Force Awakens is a soulless film with not a single original thought in it. To me, that is the worst thing you could possibly be. Yet, I think most people revealed they are 100% onboard that sort of thing and will only turn on franchises when it """betrays the fans""" Last Jedi style.
