Yeah so XC3 features the Agnians who are basically the citizens of Alrest. And one of the party members is Mio. A Gormotti girl with silver hair, cat ears, Dromarch's Ring Blades, and most important of all: a Flesh Eater Core Crystal. When you find actual Nia, she gasps at the sight of Mio. But because of PLOT she doesn't directly refer to her as her daughter. And because of PLOT Mio wouldn't know who Nia is. Although even if that were true, you figure Mio should be questioning why her Core Crystal is identical to her Queen's but by that point we're long past expecting XC3's cast to act like people.
