It's certainly a game you can talk about a lot though, very little else you can compare it to.

Unfortunately no, the game's structured in a way somewhat akin to playing ~40some DQ1-sized miniquests back to back, each with their own self contained fantasy plots. Thing is, each one gives you chunk A for unlocking island 13, chunk C for unlocking island 17, chunk D for unlocking island 28, and key item green for getting further chunks from six islands you were at before - stuff like that, the game's world progression is so tightly interwoven with itself it'd be hard as heck to restructure it all.
