Great mostly. Really wish my social/romantic situation was a lot better, but it's not really my fault. I'm just not meeting people I jive well with and want to continue meeting after that initial introduction.

I can't complain at all really. I'm not broke, I'm doing an EE PhD research project that I love (if a bit involved) and I have enough time to dedicate to my hobbies and the weather's nice. Life is pretty good for the most part. I just wish I was somewhere where I could meet people more on my wavelength.

I don't know if it's just me, but people seem a lot lamer nowadays. Like everyone is a lot more miquetoast and unwilling to be themselves and engage in a true conversation. I'm certain this wasn't the case even a decade or decade and a half ago .

Outside of what are essentially business transactions and the occasional circumstantial relationship formed due to similar interests, it's not worth going out to find people to talk to and forcing yourself to like them.
