I'd presume the AMD:nVidiot ratio is around 3:1 on Loonix, we're probably a safe customer base for their discrete GPU solutions.
They need the graphic tech anyhow for APUs, so if with just a little more effort, they can also make desktop GPUs, they will, without needing or wanting to usurp the market leader.
They said they'd swing around to a more mainstream, less flagship, solution (i.e. more perf/price-ratio).
Does the 9000-series keep that promise?
