lorwyn. fuck planeswalkers, fuck the jacevengers and fuck wotc's obsession with copying marvel. from there, we got the cringe that lead up to war of the spark and to a lesser extent march of the machine (endgame). what an absolute dogshit resolution to a 30 year story. literally all that worldbuilding developed just to go out as a fucking marvel ripoff. even down to the zalfir phasing back in it was so incredibly obvious i couldn't fucking believe they tried that shit. as for the game itself, project booster fun was the day magic went to shit. collector boosters, play boosters, secret lair, universes beyond, all a cancer on the game it used to be. should've been a completely separate game, but nope. had to force that shit into magic. millions of variants within the same sets, serialization, foils being cheaper than non-foils. we think it's bad now, it's gonna get SO much worse. fuck magic, fuck wotc and ESPECIALLY fuck mark dogwater.
