Network manager here, Cisco mostly gives the hardware for free and cheap, it's the software and license that cost you a lot. The support is insanely good, but if you're picking between Cisco and Unifi, I would ask the following questions:

>How big is your deployment?
That Unifi webshit portal cannot handle 500 access points. Cisco DNA doesn't choke on 10,0000

>How much tuning do you need?
Do you need to adjust the algorithm for RRM? You can do that on a cisco WLC.


If you're not that big, and you don't need crazy features, I wouldn't go with Cisco. I can get the hardware and software for free to use at my house I use Ubiquiti because it's jus werks and I'm not uploading AP code at home on a 9800 WLC.
