I don't think Mintharafag was wrong. Shadowheart has committed much evil as a Sharran, that much is undeniable. So has Minthara. So has Lae'zel. Being objective about a character is not about criticizing or hating them. It's just not relevant in an answer about the things you like about a character, obviously - nor does it invalidate the moral core I mentioned. These characters are not perfect little angels - they're flawed and they stumble because they're deeply human. And that's why they're so relatable and attractive. Some here love to obsess over and twist everything the namefag says, but they're one of the few posters who went through the effort of explaining why you should save Shadowheart's parents if you care about her. I respect that.

I like Lae'zel's integrity. She stays true to her word and her values no matter the circumstances. I like her poetic way of speaking. She is a ruthless warrior but also a wordsmith who can level you with a sentence. I like her beautiful contrasts. She is abrasive yet fiercely caring toward those she loves, hard as steel yet soft as silk when she opens her heart.

I like Minthara's steadfast confidence. She couldn't be a Paladin without it. I like her passion. Drow are creatures who refuse the timid existence of most surface races. I like her quiet maturity. In a group where the ages can range from 20-nothing to 40-something, she is someone who has lived centuries and has the wisdom to see through people.

BG3 really has great waifus.
