I have made at least 4 pitches and drafts on my ideal competitive Sonic MMO:

Main game is an extracted and reworked/upgraded Sonic Forces Speed Battle

Several minigames adyacent to the franchise, Chao Garden OBVIOUSLY, spinball, sports, etc.

Small RPG storyline ala DB Xenoverse where you create a character that has its own bits to help Sonic and the main cast, much like how the original Forces game did (character crestor also extracted from there), but it's just small quests/slice of life thing instead of an all-out straight up new chapter in Sonic's life.
