What about Kuala Lumpur?
I'm trying to plan a SEA trip which includes beaches, and multiple countries, with at least one stay on the most Cyberpunky city in Asia.

Was thinking of doing Thailand-Singapore-Malaysia
or
Thailand-Singapore-Hong Kong

Chongqing looks amazing too but it's a bit of a detour compared to the other schedules.
