To make this less abstract consider

this is the shit Anycub Mega thing I posted about before. Got bitch second hand. Came bent. I guess somehow it was once whacked on the motor. Never bothered, pulled it straight in software. But the two rails have alot of geometric error going on. There is twist. But imo the bad news is the belt riding up on the pulleys belt guard. It also shreds the belt, there's debry.
I could take the box out and see if it bends back but from experience it is hard to shrink sheet. Especially if the result needs to be geometrically accurate.
I could bend and welt up a new one.
I could check if I have rectangular tube of comparable dimensions on hand and just cut and drill a replacement.
I could of course just make a nice one in freecad and print it. The original isnt exactly designed to be very sturdy either.
I have also just gone through the motion stuff and lo, I have steel rails that just 5mm or so less than the gantry is wide and I also have matching UD carbon but I dont see the point here.
So: See if I can print one from PLA? Perhaps squeeze out 10mm more X?
