NTA but I think it's better. We're getting to know new characters I like, new plot points are unfolding, and that first arc with Arkos was more of an introduction to the plot, the way I see it.
I really like things like pic rel.
I just hope next arc (if it's not palace-centered) will have some more side characters or locations like the village did.
