I'm pretty sure I said this before a few threads ago, but for me a big part of the appeal of the series was the fantastic monster designs and the mystery surrounding the powers. I was genuinely curious when we found out that the king had these powers as well, what sacrifice did he have to make, who else has had to do similar sacrifices. and then we found out that the entire royal family has powers because it passed down from him, which was a little bit disappointing but still okay, "how big can the royal family be". but then this arc introduced the fact that there are a surprising number of gifted ones all over. I'm worried that we'll never get interesting monster designs again, and it'll just be flights with other gifted humans from here on out

While I like it, I think one of the first things to criticize Centuria for would be its art. Again, it suits my taste, but you can often tell it's not the most technically adept, especially compared to ones like Berserk (which I saw Centuria compared). Furthermore, I'm not completely sure if I like all the Luka reveals (at least if I'm trying to be objective). Subjectively I just like his character (and the OC jokes), but I am not sure if everything revolving around the royal family is good or not. Maybe it indicates the story will be concise, though, which is not necessarily bad.
I don't think there's anyone in these threads who thinks Centuria is a 10/10 faultless masterpiece, but I think most anons just enjoy it for what it's worth and try to focus on things they like.
I'll try not to be a pessimist and hope this is not a fruitless endeavor.

It's really not. First, she know that her prophecies are not accurate when they involve gifted ones. The fact that this prophecy also directly involves the most powerful gifted one she know makes it extremely unreliable.
Second, she knows nothing of the circumstances and the context of her vision. Literally everyone realised instantly that if a kid is prophesied to kill you, hunting her and killing her family is a retarded course of action because it gives her the reason to actually want you dead.
Third, the benevolent ageless monarch that you serve explicitly told you to leave the kid alone.

This is my first post in these threads on the subject. I both agree that there is a repetitive hater retard and also an over-defensive retard.
So, regardless of these, I obviously respect criticism and to each their own. But honestly I have been enjoying the current arc quite a bit. Yes, it's gigantic compared to anything that came before and has dragged in places (or on the other hand rushed things in others, not in my view but I've seen it be said in good faith), the tone is different and there has been a shift to a more shounen framework. But overall I've been fucking loving this arc.

I tried reading this this morning. It's like a budget Berserk with unimpressive art and a lackluster plot.

I am here since chapter 1. This sucks. This sucks that I have to wait every week just to read this kino in a minute or less. What caught my attention were the monsters and the dark phantasy setting, which are rare nowadays. It helps that the story is very enjoyable. Julian is not a pussy MC. Diana's prophecy is interesting to follow. The king is mysterious. Lacrima is great. Lukas is cool. Elstri is retarted. Helem is sexo. I don't care whether it feels too shounenque sometimes as long as these factors are at play. My only criticism is that the author reveals his cards too soon.
