Just make him weaker, I dunno he caught kryptoAIDS and now bullets hurt him.
Congrats now everyone is out to kill him for whatever reason, there's tons of potential for a cool plot and guests from any other character in DC, you can still have him fly and shoot laser beams and ice breath for fun game mechanics and you don't need to bend over backwards to create alternate ways for game overs.
Just tell the comic book nerds to eat a bullet because who fucking cares.
