At least 3 posters have already beaten it, it took me 20hours while using fast forward a lot during battles and while stumbling around a bit in order to figure out how to progress at a couple points.
The game is mostly finished, there are only a couple of minor things that would hint at it needing a bit more polish/bugfix and even without those the game is in a shippable state really.
It's not a groundbreaking game by any mean but a fun little quirky RPG with a lot of references to horror media, some humour/puns, some inspiration from Mother. The game is mostly linear (you never get a vehicle for exploration) and on the easy side for a Famicom RPG. Graphically very polished, monsters are animated, some good music tracks too. The unique mechanic is the Channeling system, enemies drop Souls/Spirits that you can then equip (one per character at a time) and summon in battle, and there are special Channeling/combos if your 3 party members have the correct souls for them.
Story wise it's a sorta sequel to Wanpaku Grafifti, the first arc in the game is a retread of the final boss from that game.
