Clearly the translators know what they're doing, they're just following different policies/mandates depending on whether they can have it their way or not per region.
Why not just look at the official subs for any of the gendered languages for references on which gender is supposed to be there instead of "they/them"?
For instance Spanish doesn't have a neutral pronoun and the CR fags sure as hell won't try to use any neolanguage pronouns in spanish releases unless they want to piss off the LatAm/Spain audience.
